The Student Vision Scholarship is a unique opportunity for emerging professionals to attend the MAC annual conference and explore the benefits of health sciences librarianship through interaction, networking and mentorship.

It is available to students who are currently enrolled in an ALA accredited MLS program. They must live in or attend a program in the MAC region. Applicants must submit a report detailing their experience and impressions to MAC Messages by a date noted in the application and commit to attending the Welcome Reception and as much of the conference programming as possible.

Recipients receive inclusive meeting registration, registration for the Welcome Reception, one night of accommodation at the conference hotel (reimbursed), and meals that are provided as part of the conference program. The Student Vision Scholarship does not include travel expenses to the conference (airfare, mileage, or car rental), accommodations (hotel) beyond the one night awarded, or meals outside of conference programming.

The Membership Committee is responsible for coordinating the MAC Student Vision Scholarship and choosing the recipients.

Scholarships will be based on the committee’s financial ability to support the Program.
