Research and Education Librarian, Health Sciences Education Lead

The Health Sciences and Biomedical Libraries, part of the Geisel School of Medicine and the Dartmouth Library seeks an innovative, collaborative, and service-oriented librarian to join our team as a Research and Education Librarian, Health Sciences Education Lead.

This opportunity comes at an exciting time. Geisel has launched a new strategic plan, and our libraries are positioned as partners in research, education, and clinical efforts. The Dartmouth Library is also undergoing strategic planning to design for future directions of Dartmouth College.

Reporting to the Associate Director for Health Sciences and Biomedical Libraries, the Health Sciences Education Lead serves as a member of the public services team in the development, delivery, and assessment of educational offerings and research support services. The Health Sciences Education Lead guides the libraries’ efforts by investigating and anticipating the evolving needs of the UME, QBS and other health sciences interprofessional education programs at Geisel and developing and implementing new programs and services as appropriate. In this role, the Health Sciences Education Lead will also coordinate with the other Research and Education Librarians in the department to provide a continuum of education, research, and clinical support services.

Research and Education Librarian, Foundational Research Lead

The Health Sciences and Biomedical Libraries, part of the Geisel School of Medicine and the Dartmouth Library, seeks an innovative, collaborative, and service-oriented librarian to join our team as a Research and Education Librarian, Foundational Research Lead.

Reporting to the Associate Director for Health Sciences and Biomedical Libraries, the Foundational Research Lead serves as a member of the public services team in the development, delivery, and assessment of educational offerings and research support services. The Foundational Research Lead guides the libraries’ efforts in support of researchers in maintaining current awareness and navigating changes in publication, open science, and data management planning aligned with evolution of requirements from key agencies including the NIH and NSF. The role also provides an opportunity for involvement in conversations and planning around the institution’s research footprint and further enhancing the impact of Geisel and Dartmouth scholarship.

Salary and Benefits

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications; minimum $68,100. Full benefits package including 22 vacation days; comprehensive health care; retirement plan options, including Fidelity and TIAA; and relocation assistance.
