CLINICAL RESEARCH LIBRARIAN, DENVER

An integral part of the Nursing Practice team, the Clinical Research Librarian performs systematic literature reviews in support of the AORN Guidelines for Perioperative Practice. Applying PRISMA methodology, the Clinical Research Librarian executes in-depth, evidence-based literature searches and synthesizes, analyzes, edits, and filters results to ensure that AORN products are based on the most current, authoritative evidence available.

Qualifications include the desire and ability to partner with team members to create terrific products. A master’s degree in library science and at least three years of experience working in a health sciences library are required, as well as familiarity with databases such as MEDLINE, CINAHL, Scopus, and Cochrane and interfaces such as Ovid and EBSCO. Experience with interlibrary loan & document delivery, knowledge of evidence-based practice principles, a demonstrated ability to precisely identify information needs and resources, and the ability to formulate strategies to meet those needs are essential to success. Familiarity with bibliographic citation management systems such as RefWorks or EndNote is a plus.
