MAC2015 Service Project!
I’m pleased to announce that this year MAC2015 will be collecting donations for Dress for Success. Ladies, we ask you to search your closets and find your gently used, nearly-new professional attire that is ready for a new home. Gentlemen, we hope you will ask friends, family and colleagues if they have any professional attire to donate.
Dress for Success endeavors to lead women out of poverty one job at a time. Once a woman has an interview scheduled, she obtains a referral to visit her local Dress for Success boutique. Volunteers will help her choose an interview outfit while also providing guidance and support for the upcoming interview. Dress for Success also offers career coaching appointments to identify strengths and skills, create or update resumes, or practice mock interviews.
DONATE CLOTHES
What would you wear to a job interview? That is exactly the type of clothing they will distribute to their clients. Your fabulous suit and other professional apparel could furnish another woman with the confidence to enter or return to the workplace, make a great first impression and land a job that could change her life. Additionally, many of their clients go directly to an interview, so please ensure that all items donated are freshly dry-cleaned or laundered and ironed, not more than 5 years old, and suitable for wearing to job interviews.
