Hello everyone,
I would like to pass along some updates we have just received about the rollout of the new PubMed!
- A Trainer’s Toolkit is now available. This resource collects all of our new PubMed instructional resources, including a new two-page printable handout, and updated new PubMed Quick Tours.
- A new PubMed course is available, entitled “How PubMed Works.” Taking the place of previous classes like “PubMed for Librarians,” “How PubMed Works,” is the best way to get up to speed on how the new PubMed works and how to use it. Registration for the first round of “How PubMed Works,” is open now, but if you can’t make it, you’ll find recordings posted to the Trainer’s Toolkit as soon as they’re available.
- The PubMed development team continues to add highly requested features to the new interface, including expanded sort and display options; you can read about the latest updates in a new Technical Bulletin article.
- NCBI’s Bart Trawick contributed a guest post to Dr. Brennan’s “Musings from the Mezzanine” blog, discussing the development process for the new PubMed and encouraging users to give it a try.
- New banners have gone up on every legacy PubMed page, strongly urging users to make the switch.
