The Research and Assessment Committee would like to congratulate this year’s recipient of the MAC Research and Assessment Grant. The Research and Assessment Grant awards up to $2000 to fund a research project in health librarianship for a MAC member.
This year’s winner is Mary White of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Her project, entitled “#WritingPapers: Learning about the Information Work-Processes of Public Health Students”, will use “visual methods and interview techniques [to] provide insights into a variety of public health students’ workflows as they approach the task of conducting literature reviews, or ‘writing papers’”. The grant funds will be used to provide incentives to study participants.
