Dear MAC Members:
This year’s MAC election is scheduled to begin in ten days. The candidates will be:
- Chair-Elect – Mary Beth Schell and Wanda Whitney
- MAC Nominee to the MLA Nominating Committee – Susan Arnold and Andrea Horne Denton

We will send ballots (via SurveyMonkey) to current MAC members via email on Monday, August 10, and the deadline to vote will be Wednesday, September 9.
In the next ten days, I encourage you to check your membership status and contact information. Please login to the membership database at http://macmla.wildapricot.org/ and click “View Profile” at the top of the page. If necessary, you can update your contact information and renew your membership.
- If you are a member of MAC and MLA (according to the MAC membership database) your ballot will include candidates for Chair-Elect and MAC Nominee to the MLA Nominating Committee.
- If you are a member of MAC but not MLA (according to the MAC membership database), your ballot will include candidates for Chair-Elect only.
- If you do not receive a ballot on August 10, please contact Lynn Eades, Membership Database Manager, directly at beades@med.unc.edu so that she can verify your status.
I would like to thank this year’s Nominating Committee for their work recruiting an excellent slate of candidates and the Communication Committee for their work managing the election.
