ALISE joins the Coalition on the Academic Workforce
The Association for Library and Information Science Education announces its membership in the Coalition on the Academic Workforce (CAW), a group of higher education associations, subject discipline professional societies, and faculty organizations committed to addressing issues associated with the working conditions of faculty members. The CAW is not a labor union; one of its purposes is to “promote conditions by which all faculty members, including full- and part-time faculty members serving off the tenure track, can strengthen their teaching and scholarship, better serve their students, and advance their professional careers.” See the CAW website at http://www.academicworkforce.org/About.html.
