Free!!! “Health Reference and You: ALA Guidelines, Best Practices, and Training Resources”, webinar next Wednesday
Remember that webinar that was offered last spring, “Health Reference and You: ALA Guidelines, Best Practices, and Training Resources”? It’s being offered again, Free This Time!!!! , next Wednesday September 20, at 1:00 PM Pacific Time.
I’m involved with ALA’s Health and Medical Reference Committee http://www.ala.org/rusa/contact/rosters/rss/rus-rsshmr , which created a set of Health and Medical Reference Guidelines http://www.ala.org/rusa/resources/guidelines/guidelinesmedical .
In this webinar, I’ll do a brief intro of the guidelines, talk about how they translate into best practices, and demonstrate a curriculum we’ve developed to be used in staff training. If you work with paraprofessional staff who work on your reference desk, this may be of special interest!
Here is the link for the webinar—no registration needed, just hop on in at the time! And feel free to publicize to others you think may be interested!
