Head, Liaison & Instruction Programs – Drexel Univ Libraries

Drexel University Libraries seeks an experienced and enthusiastic librarian to manage its instruction and liaison programs and to lead its growing role in the educational mission of the university.

Reporting to the Director of Library Academic Partnerships, the Head of Liaison & Instruction  will serve as the coordinator for DU Libraries’ instructional programs.   The Head will serve as knowledge leader for the Libraries in areas of learning and teaching, and will guide and coach DUL staff in use of appropriate pedagogical techniques.  The Head will develop and manage the librarian liaison program, supervising six liaison librarians based at the University City campus in Philadelphia.  In addition, the Head will be responsible for coordinating instructional programs for freshmen students and for assessment of these instructional programs.

Drexel University was recently cited as a top ‘up & coming’ university in addition to placing in the top 100 Best National Universities by U.S. News & World Report.  The university libraries have recently begun to transform services and spaces from that of a traditional university library into a library learning enterprise.   This is an exciting time to be at Drexel.
