Inhye Son Retires

After 28 years of service, Inhye Kim Son has retired from University of Virginia Claude Moore Health Sciences Library. Inhye began work at the library as a serials clerk. Her intellect and dedication was quickly recognized by Judith Robinson and Gretchen Arnold, and she began working as a public services librarian. During her tenure, Inhye held several roles in reference and education, most recently serving as the library’s Electronic Resources and Research Librarian.

Inhye was committed to professional development and service: she was an MLA member, a Distinguished Member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals, and presented at many MLA and MAC conferences. A long-time MAC member, she served for many years as the moderator of the MACMLA-L discussion list. Inhye’s retirement plans include spending more time with family and friends, and travelling.
