Invitation to Participate in Survey: Credit-Bearing Information Literacy Instruction

Dear Colleagues,
My name is Kathleen Phillips, and I am the Nursing & Allied Health Librarian at Penn State University. As part of my sabbatical research, I am conducting a survey to benchmark current credit-bearing information literacy instruction practices within higher education in the United States and Great Britain. Individuals who either do or do not teach credit-bearing courses are invited to participate, as data will be analyzed for institutions that DO offer and for institutions that DO NOT offer credit-bearing instruction.
DO: For those participants who engage in credit-bearing information literacy instruction, this survey will gauge aspects of such instruction, including frequency, type, coordination, partnerships or relationships, successes, and obstacles.
DO NOT: For those participants who do not currently engage in credit-bearing information literacy instruction, the survey will gauge interest, partnerships and relationships, needs, and obstacles.
You are invited to participate in this voluntary study. You are also welcome to share this with your academic library colleagues. Please click the link below to read the consent form and to complete the anonymous survey, which should take no longer than 15 minutes. The survey will remain open until Friday, October 31, 2025.
