This position will oversee acquisitions, serials, electronic resources & licenses, gifts, collection development, and assessment. The successful candidate will have proven experience and the skill sets needed to oversee the selection, ordering, budgeting, receiving, and assessment of resources in all formats, as well as evaluating the current collection and gift materials, managing budgets, negotiating license agreements, managing a demand-driven acquisitions (DDA) program, supervising acquisitions staff, determining subject allocations, writing assessments and other reports, developing policies and procedures, and coordinating subject bibliographers.
This is a twelve-month, tenure-track library faculty appointment at the Associate Librarian rank with an estimated start date of September 1, 2016. Review of applications will begin June 20, 2016.
Required Qualifications:
Earned Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program; at least ten years of relevant experience in an academic or research library with progressively greater responsibilities, and familiarity with coordinating relationships between library liaisons and faculty.
