We have a position open for Biomedical and Biological Sciences Librarian at George Mason University! Mason Libraries is seeking a professional to join a team of Science and Technology librarians and staff on a growing campus library in Northern Virginia. The Science and Technology Campus is located approximately 30 miles west of Washington, DC in the Innovation Park research and development business park.
Mercer Library serves Mason faculty, staff and students in numerous research centers and advanced degree programs in biomedical and biological sciences, biology, chemistry, and computational and data sciences. The Biomedical and Biological Sciences Librarian collaborates with colleagues in the Social Sciences, Arts & Humanities, and Teaching & Learning Teams within the Mason Libraries’ Learning, Research, and Engagement division. This position allows opportunity for collaboration with students and faculty in the College of Science, the School of Systems Biology, the School of Kinesiology, the Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation, the George Squared (Advanced Biomedical Sciences) program and pre-health programs. Salary is commensurate with professional experience and academic qualifications. Salary at appointment is dependent upon rank: Librarian I (not less than $65,000), Librarian II (not less than $70,000), Librarian III (not less than $75,000), and Librarian IV (not less than $80,000).
