Our team of librarians is excited to welcome a creative enthusiastic professional who will build on our start-up data services and research impact initiatives to implement a robust set of services. This position will also serve as reference and education liaison at one of our owned health system clinical sites, the Northwell Health Long Island Jewish-Forest Hills Hospital. Our expert librarians partner with faculty and staff at our innovative medical school, nursing school, and health system utilizing shared electronic resources and research information systems across the continuum of sites. Position Description: The Data Services and Research Impact Librarian reports to the Associate Dean for Library Services and manages the library’s strategic initiatives for data lifecycle services and metrics to demonstrate scholarly research impact, supporting the School of Medicine’s goals of promoting research and scholarly productivity across the school and Northwell Health. The librarian serves as project coordinator for the web-based Data Catalog implementation, conducts outreach and instructional sessions about data management, data plans, discoverability, and agency mandates, creates and curates metadata for the data catalog, and participates in the multi-institution Data Discovery Collaboration. This position also provides expert reference and education liaison services for the Northwell Health Long Island Jewish -Forest Hills (LIJ-FH) hospital staff and will plan and conduct in-depth publications metrics reports using multiple metrics and visualization tools.
