The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Health Sciences and Human Services Library (HSHSL) invites applications for the Head of Research and Education Services (RES). This is a permanent status-eligible, full-time, non-tenure track faculty position. Approximate start date is early 2025.
This position is a member of the Research and Information Services (RIS) Division leadership team and is responsible for leading and managing an exceptional team of liaison librarians (6.5 librarian faculty FTE). The RES team advances the library’s research support and educational goals, serving the UMB schools of dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, social work and graduate studies.
This position will be involved in library, professional, and university service; professional development and scholarly activities that will lead professional growth; foster an accessible, inclusive, welcoming, and safe environment; and support the mission, vision, and core values of UMB.
