Health Sciences Reference/Instructional Librarian

The Lee and Jim Vann Library at the University of Saint Francis seeks an outgoing and knowledgeable professional to provide general reference and information services, and specialized research support, instruction, and collection development for the University’s School of Health Sciences. This is a 12-month position. The successful candidate must have experience with collection development and maintenance, developing bibliographic instruction, teaching both on-ground and online in support of the health sciences. Familiarity with current online databases and development tools coupled with the desire for continuous learning are essential.

A Master’s Degree in Library Science (MLS) with graduate courses in medical informatics or medical librarianship or comparable experience also required. A bachelor’s degree, in science or health science-related fields with at least two years of library experience in a medical or academic institution with a strong health sciences program, professional experience preferred.
