Job Posting: Part Time Librarian – Health Sciences Libraries, Temple University

Reporting to the Head of Research, Education and Outreach, the part-time Reference Librarian provides in-person and virtual reference services to Temple University Health Sciences Center faculty, staff and students.
Serves as a liaison to a health sciences school or department with consultation and instruction responsibilities. Supports promotional initiatives, and special projects when necessary. The part-time Reference Librarian works up to 20 hours per week and may be expected to work evenings and weekends on an occasional basis. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in library/information science from an A.L.A. accredited library program. Experience providing reference services in a university or college library or hospital library setting. Experience with Microsoft Office and G Suite.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Must be detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
*Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
*Knowledge of PubMed, Web of Science, CINAHL and/or other health sciences databases.
Preferred:
*Experience providing reference service in an academic health sciences library.
*Experience providing online or in-person instruction sessions.
*Experience working with LibGuides.
