Part-time Reference Librarian  (22003146)

Reporting to the Head of Research, Education and Outreach, the part-time Reference Librarian provides in-person and virtual reference services to Temple University Health Sciences Center faculty, staff and students, serves as a co-liaison to a health sciences school or department with consultation and instruction responsibilities. Supports special projects including promotional and communication-related initiatives. The part-time Librarian can work up to 19 hours per week. Performs other duties as assigned.

This is a hybrid position (on-campus and remote).

Required Education and Experience:Master’s degree in library/information science from an A.L.A. accredited library program. Experience providing reference services in a university or college library or hospital library setting. Experience with Microsoft Office and G Suite.

Required Skills and Abilities:*Must be detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and with others in a team environment.*Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.*Knowledge of PubMed, Web of Science, CINAHL and/or other health sciences databases.

Preferred:*Experience providing reference service in an academic health sciences library.*Experience providing online or in-person instruction sessions.*Experience working with LibGuides.
