November is around the corner, and I hope your week is off to a great start. Registration for MLA Reads’ discussion of Amy Ellis Nutt’s Becoming Nicole is now open.

The monthly discussions will run from November 2023 to March 2024.
(There are discussion groups with start dates later in the month so you still have a good amount of time to register ahead of the first session. And, if you’re concerned about time to read ahead of the first session, don’t be! Please join us! While we all aim to read to the goal chapter ahead of each discussion session, we all learn a lot from each other regardless, and there are opportunities to connect to other readings or experiences you’d like to share. 😀 )
Books will be provided to the first 100 participants. Non-MLA members are welcome to join the discussion.
This year, from November 2023 to March 2024, we will read Amy Nutt Ellis’s Becoming Nicole. Becoming Nicole is the inspiring true story of transgender actor and activist Nicole Maines, whose identical twin brother, Jonas and ordinary American family join her on an extraordinary journey to understand, nurture, and celebrate the uniqueness in us all.
