MAC 2022 continuing education courses
Are you interested in building expertise in teaching, leadership or evidence synthesis? As part of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Medical Library Association (MAC) 2022 Annual Meeting, the MAC Professional Development Committee is offering three excellent Continuing Education courses.
You can sign up for CE Courses even if you are not able to attend the Annual Meeting! Each course costs $40.00 and participants earn 4 MLA CE credits.

VIRTUAL:
Which Review is Right for You? Matching Questions to Review Type and Teaching the Process to Others, taught by Margaret J. Foster. This course will include 2 sessions and some work on your own time activities to increase knowledge of review types, methods, and how to teach others to understand the differences between systematic reviews and other research syntheses.

Innovative Instruction: Increasing Engagement and Enhancing Learning, taught by Amy Blevins. This class will show a variety of active learning strategies to enhance instruction delivered face-to-face, online, or in a blended setting.

IN-PERSON, Omni Hotel, Richmond, VA:
Management and Leadership from the Middle, taught by Janna Lawrence and Linné Girouard, this course is for anyone in libraries interested in building leadership skills. It may feel impossible to develop these skills if you are not the “boss,” but this class will show how leadership is possible at all levels.
