MAC Retiree: Susan Hardee
Susan Hardee, MLS is retiring May 15th, 2015 from Wake AHEC (Area Health Education Center) located at WakeMed Health & Hospitals. For the last 23 years, Susan has provided library services to healthcare professionals in the 9 county AHEC region as well as the 10,000 physicians and staff at WakeMed Health and Hospitals.
Susan is a Raleigh native. She earned degrees from North Carolina State University and North Carolina Central University. She and Bob have been married for 43 years, have 3 sons, 1 daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren.
Susan has participated in the North Carolina AHEC Information and Library System Network Council. At one time, she was a North Carolina co-representative to the Emergency Preparedness Committee of Regional Advisory Committee of NN/LM, Southeastern/Atlantic Region. She has been active in MLA, MAC, and ANCHASL. Her special interests include health literacy and disaster planning and response.
