Then the MLA/Hospital Libraries Section (HLS) Professional Development Grant may be just what you are looking for!

The Grant was established in 1996 by the HLS to provide librarians working in hospital or similar clinical settings with support to develop or acquire new skills, conduct scientific research, or acquire other competencies listed in the Educational Policy and the Research Policy Statements of the Medical Library Association.

Applicants must have been employed as a health sciences librarian within the past year, not previously received this or another MLA grant, scholarship, or other award within the past year, be a member of MLA, and preferably of the HLS.

Applications are available on MLAnet and must be received at MLA Headquarters no later than Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. (CT).
