Mobile Technologies in Academia and Medicine Symposium

MAC Members you are invited to attend the HS/HSL’s @ Hand: Mobile Technologies in Academia and Medicine Symposium

The Health Sciences and Human Services Library, University of Maryland, Baltimore will be hosting a day-long symposium on April 21, 2010 addressing the emerging and evolving uses of mobile technologies, such as smart phones, in clinical and academic environments. The goal of the symposium is to create excitement and foster conversation among the campus that can allow for a better understanding of mobile technologies and how they can be used in innovative ways.

Events for the symposium will include a keynote, several panels of experts who will discuss how they are using mobile technologies in educational and clinical settings, vendor demonstrations and a closing reception.
This free event will take place from 9:30am-3:15pm at the SMC Campus Center (adjacent to the HS/HSL), with a closing reception hosted at the Gladhill Boardroom at the Health Sciences and Human Services Library from 3:15pm-4:00pm. Website:
