(This post is based in part on a UNC Chapel Hill HSL e-news article by Ginny Bunch)
The Health Sciences Library at UNC-Chapel Hill was excited to host UNC’s resident Nobel Laureate, Dr. Oliver Smithies, Excellence Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, on March 30, 2009 at 4pm. Dr. Smithies talked informally about how he conducts research.
Moderated by Dr. Tony Waldrop, Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development, the discussion also explored the changing nature of information access and its impact on scientific research.
