Save the Date: MAC 2019 Annual Conference!
Hello MAC Members,
It was great seeing many of you at the MLA Annual Conference earlier this year. If you were in attendance and I didn’t get to see you, there will be opportunity at the upcoming MAC Annual Conference!
Our Annual Conference Planning Committee Chairs have been busy since November! The annual conference is Sunday, October 6 through Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at the Millennium Hotel in Durham, NC.
The conference theme is: Rising to the Occasion: Resiliency, Flexibility, Creativity. The conference should have fantastic learning opportunities including two keynote speakers lined up. Dr. William Bynum, Assistant Professor in Community and Family Medicine, Duke University School of Medicine, will discuss recovering from mistakes and dealing with shame. Sara Garrington, Emergency Preparedness and Response Manager, will talk about resiliency and recovery following disasters. More information will come including a call for proposals, CE opportunities, and more! I look forward to seeing you in Durham this October!
