So long and thanks for all the fish
Dear MAC members,
With the beginning of a new MAC year, I end my term as the MAC Messages blog editor and hand over the site permissions to Lara Sapp. Before signing off, I wanted to thank the MAC membership for their encouragement, feedback, and engagement with MAC Messages over the past three years. As a brand new member to MAC and health sciences librarianship, this position allowed me to work broadly across MAC ranging from the MAC board to committee chairs to any member with content. In turn, I got to know people outside of the MAC meeting and people got to know me with a regular presence in everyone’s email. On a personal note, special thanks to Stefanie Warlick, David Nolfi, Ryan Harris, and Jean Siebert for their various roles in supporting this adventure for me. Also, working with WordPress has been a benefit for my job, as many courses are now adopting WordPress as a platform for discussions and digital assignments. I even got to use my knowledge in a recent article I co-wrote with faculty about WordPress blogs used in a nursing course [link to shameless plug]. So, if you’re looking to get involved with MAC, consider applying to be a MAC Messages editor and contact Lara Sapp, the MAC Messages blog editor, or Claire Meissner, the Communication Committee chair.
So thanks for everything!
