We’re waiting for you… At MAC!

We’re waiting for you…

Welcome Reception
The Planning Committee invites you to continue the conference theme and face your fear (of crowds/other librarians/live music/art- take your pick!) at the Welcome Reception on Sunday, October 21st, from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM!

Join your colleagues (or frolleagues!) at the gorgeous R.R. Smith Art Center, where the exhibit “Earth & Water, paintings (2000-2017)” by Shay Herring Clanton invites you to “to leave the regions of our conquest- the cleared fields, the towns and cities, the highways – and re-enter the woods. For only there can a man encounter the silence and darkness of his own absence.”

Local jazz and blues trio Kat and the Travelers will provide soulful accompaniment to this thoughtful exhibit and, if that isn’t enough to ease your fears, enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and refreshing beverages (two drink tickets provided- find them in your badge pocket); cash bar available.
