Call for participation: Professional Development for Health Science/Medical Librarians

Dear Colleagues,

I invite you to participate in a survey examining the different methods that health science librarians participate in to obtain professional development.

There is no direct benefit to participation.  By giving me permission to analyze your survey responses, however, you will help us understand the best methods for health science librarians to obtain training to do their job.

To participate, you must be currently employed by an academic or hospital library in a health sciences/medical librarian role and 18 years of age or older. The survey is voluntary and there are no foreseeable risks to participating. The records of this study will be kept strictly confidential and the survey will not be collecting any identifying information. The survey has been approved by the University of Northern Colorado Institutional Review Board (IRB). You may choose not to take part in the study and may stop participating at any time.

The survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. All questions are either multiple choice with one optional open-ended question or fill in the blank. Please answer the questions to your comfort and knowledge level. The results will be reported for the group of respondents as a whole.

Access the survey online:

We will be accepting responses through May 15, 2021.

Any questions or concerns can be directed to Maggie Shawcross (maggie.shawcross@unco.edu).

Sincerely,

Maggie
