- The primary applicant must be a current member of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Medical Library Association (MACMLA).
- Applicants must hold or be pursuing a graduate degree in library science, information science, or a related field.
- Student members must identify a practicing health sciences librarian or library school faculty member as a project sponsor. Sponsors do not need to be MACMLA members.
Preference is given to practicing health sciences librarians and current library science students.
AHIP Points
The Medical Library Association runs the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP) certification program. Receiving a funded grant can earn you points toward this certification.
Principal investigators and co-investigators can claim 10 points for the first year of a funded grant. Key personnel can claim 5 points for the first year of a funded grant.
