The MACMLA 2019 Annual Conference, which takes place October 5-7, 2019 in Durham, NC, will have a number of fantastic learning opportunities featuring two keynote speakers. Dr. William Bynum, Assistant Professor in Community and Family Medicine, Duke University School of Medicine, will discuss recovering from mistakes and dealing with shame. Sara Garrington, Emergency Preparedness and Response Manager, will talk about resiliency and recovery following disasters.
Along with the conference, there will be four continuing education opportunities:
- Transforming a Needs Assessment into a Marketing Tool
- Are all Systematic Reviews Created Equal?
- Finding Management & Leadership Opportunities Where You Are
- Innovative Instruction: Increasing Engagement and Enhancing Learning
Of course, the best part of any MAC annual meeting are the contributions from our members and guests. Not only will this be a wonderful opportunity to catch up with old colleagues and makes new connections, but you will have the opportunity to explore new research and projects from contributed papers, lightning talks, and posters.
We hope you’ll come early and stay late to enjoy several days of networking, stimulating content, and (of course) fun in Durham, NC.
Please share this email to your networks!
