Finding Stock Images and Videos – NLM® Resources

From Cynthia Burke:

Medical images and videos are useful for presentations and to explain medical concepts. The Medical Stock Sources FAQ is at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/services/stockshot.html. It lists US and government and private companies that provide stock images for free or at a cost. The companies are US and international. Most US government images are in the public domain. However, some may be protected by license. You need to read the disclaimers at each site before using them. The National Library of Medicine has two major sources of stock images and video: Images from the History of Medicine and the Visible Human Project®.
