RESEARCH SERVICES LIBRARIAN

LSU Health Sciences Center – New Orleans

Reporting to the Associate Director of Libraries, the Research Services Librarian provides expert literature searches, participates in the systematic review process, provides research consultations, and citation management support.  Provides general reference as a part of the Education and Research Department. Plans, teaches, and assesses information literacy instruction with faculty. Develops web- and print-based materials. Serves as liaison to the School of Public Health. Locates and creates digital content to support academic instruction. Explores, evaluates, and encourages deployment of emergent technologies into library programs and services. The position collaborates with a team of health sciences librarians and associates to provide library services.

The John P. Isché Library, the main library at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, is located in the Library, Administration, and Resource Center Building at 433 Bolivar Street, floors 3-5. The Dental School Library is located at 1100 Florida Ave., on the 3rd floor of the Dental School Administration Building, Room 3100.  The Libraries offer all traditional services, as well as more technologically advanced information services.
