BASIC FUNCTIONS: 
Under the direction of the Director of Operations, Louis Stokes Health Sciences Library, the incumbent is responsible for the provision of information services to LSHSL users with a specific focus on Allied Health Sciences Faculty, Students and Administrative Staff. The Allied Health Sciences Librarian will assess information needs, plan services and evaluate programs for the Division of Allied Health Sciences in the College of Pharmacy, Nursing and Allied Health Sciences. The incumbent is appointed by and serves at the will of the Louis Stokes Health Sciences Library Executive Director. The Allied Health Sciences Librarian, LSHSL receives management oversight and direction from the Director of Operations for the Louis Stokes Health Sciences Library.
SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTABILITY: 
Responsible for orienting and training others, and assigning and reviewing their work. May also be responsible for acting in a “lead” or “senior” capacity over other positions performing essentially the same work, or related technical tasks and reporting to a higher level on a formal basis.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Internal contacts include faculty, staff, students and administrators. External contacts include staff of other university libraries.
