DUTIES:
Duty Location: VA Caribbean Healthcare System, PR.
As a Librarian (Medical Science), the employee works primarily with the clinical staff and provides assistance to the Medical Center staff and trainees. Librarian is responsible for the accuracy and effectiveness of services provided by the Library Technicians providing answers to advisory queries. Reference activities consist of answering a variety of questions utilizing reference tools in print and non-print reference sources for information search in authoritative time and manner; evaluating references for authoritativeness, timeliness, and pertinence to problem request utilizing sources available; and providing electronic health information to patients using different formats as the electronic and print resources. You will perform other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
