Manager, Research and Instruction Services
Stanford Medicine is seeking a motivated and resourceful Manager, Research and Instruction Services (Librarian 3) to lead a team of library staff in support of the education and research initiatives of Stanford Medicine. Reporting to the Director, Research and Academic Collaboration the Manager, Research and Instruction Services oversees the day to day operations of the Research and Instruction Unit, the Lane Liaison program and research and literature review support services.
The Manager actively collaborates with all units of the Library to improve processes and services. S/he is responsible for the evaluation and assessment of services related to outreach and instruction and develops and implements new programs to meet the demands of faculty, students and staff in supporting their clinical and research needs.
As part of the Research and Instruction team the manager engages in activities comparable to other librarians in the unit by providing research consultations; developing portals and web pages to facilitate user access to resources; offering orientations and instructional sessions; serving as a liaison to key clinical and research departments or centers and well as performing literature searches and/or collaborating on systematic reviews.
