The Medical Librarian is responsible for the management, operation, collection development, and programs of the Campbell University Medical Library to include: being an active member of the CUSOM Library Committee by attending, serving as coordinator, chair and recorder; assisting the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research with the planning of the library, library budget and needed educational research; developing the electronic library and access to the library; acquiring and cataloguing all primary texts and collections; and serving as liaison for CUSOM with other osteopathic college libraries.
Requirements | Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program and three to five years of progressive experience in an academic library setting. Training and experience in an academic management position in an institute of higher education and/or medical education is preferred. The successful candidate will also be a team player, flexible and have an amicable professional demeanor.
