Job Posting: Research and Instruction Librarian (Liaison to Medical Education and Graduate Medical Education) at the University of Pittsburgh

The Health Sciences Library System (HSLS, http://www.hsls.pitt.edu/) at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications to fill an open Research and Instruction Librarian position. HSLS is looking for a motivated, collaborative, enthusiastic individual who can thrive in a dynamic environment to join our team. This position has the flexibility to allow candidates to highlight unique skills or experiences that enhance and complement existing services (https://www.hsls.pitt.edu/services).

Research and Instruction librarians are key members of the Research, Instruction and Clinical Information Services (http://files.hsls.pitt.edu/files/hsls-organization-chart.pdf) team.  This position reports to the Assistant Director for Liaison Services and Instruction and provides a broad range of research and scholarly support and instruction services to faculty, staff and students, with a focus on medical education for the University of Pittsburgh and graduate medical education programs at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).

Pitt’s School of Medicine (SOM) is currently in the process of curriculum reform (https://www.omed.pitt.edu/curriculum-reform) and redesign, making this an exciting time for this position to collaborate with faculty and other HSLS librarians on innovative integration within the SOM curriculum.

HSLS offers flexible work arrangements which include the option to work up to 15 hours remote/week.
