Librarians without Borders(R)/Elsevier Foundation/Research4Life Grants

Please consider applying for a MLA Librarians without Borders®/ Elsevier Foundation/ Research4Life Grant. Applications are currently being accepted and the deadline for submission is December 1, 2018.

The Medical Library Association (MLA) has established the MLA Librarians without Borders® / Elsevier Foundation/ Research4Life Grants for 2016 to 2021. Funded by the Elsevier Foundation, up to five awards per year support HINARI/R4L training activities that promote use of the programs’ scientific research resources in emerging/low income countries. The grants benefit users in eligible countries by helping them develop skills in effectively and efficiently using HINARI/R4L resources and preparing them to provide training for their institution or country.

Note that changes have been made to the grant this year. Proposals can now be submitted from a wider range of academic libraries, previous recipients, retirees, and faculty in library and information science programs. Institutional overhead will not be covered with these modest (up to $5000) awards.

Additional information about the grant and a link to the online submission form are available at https://www.mlanet.org/p/cm/ld/fid=949. Applications must be received by MLA no later than December 1. Please follow the application checklist. Only complete submissions will be considered.
