Official Call for Proposals

The MAC Contributed Papers and Posters committees invite you to submit your proposals for the virtual 2021 MAC MLA Annual Meeting on October 23 through October 26, 2021. The theme for this year’s meeting is “Pivot!: Resilience and Unity in the face of the unknown”, though your submission is not required to relate to the theme.

For paper, lightning talk, and poster abstracts, please submit via the MAC 2021 Proposal Submission Form: https://forms.gle/yxY2umgLzPAoX9u16. All abstracts must be 300 words maximum and should describe either a research project or a library program. A structured abstract format is required. See MLA’s Research Section for guidance on structured abstracts. Refer to the MLA’s “Structured Abstracts” page for guidelines: https://www.mlanet.org/p/cm/ld/fid=517

The deadline to submit an abstract is July 23, 2021. Authors will be notified of acceptance in early August. Additional information (i.e. time, specialized instructions for presenting online, etc.) will be sent with the acceptance notification. Those presenting papers, lightning talks, or posters must register for the meeting.

You will receive an immediate confirmation receipt upon submission. All submissions will be blinded before review. Only Background and Methods sections are required at the submission stage. Completed Results and Conclusions sections are required if accepted before the annual meeting.
