MAC Annual Meeting Service Project
Do you want to know something scary?
56% of dogs and 71% of cats in animal shelters are euthanized EACH YEAR in the United States (http://bit.ly/2xaD6PH)
In keeping with our conference theme of “Face Your Fears”, the MAC 2017 Planning Committee is pleased to announce that it has chosen Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center as the beneficiary for this year’s service project! SVASC is an open admissions shelter which serves Augusta County, and the cities of Staunton and Waynesboro. Since its opening in 2011, SVASC has worked hard to lower the euthanasia rate in the area, bringing its current save rate to 95%!
We can support SVASC with donations of
- old blankets and washcloths
- dog and cat toys
- treats
- yoga mats
- heating pads
- for a complete list of needed items, please see: https://svasc.net/donation-wish-list/
Your generous donations will be collected during Monday evening’s “Yappy Hour”: you can enjoy pre-dinner drinks while watching the donations roll in, knowing that you’ll be making homeless dogs and cats more comfortable.
