Message from the Chair: Notice on the MAC 2019 Elections
Dear MAC Members –
According to the MAC Constitution and Bylaws, Article IV, Section 3. Nominations and Elections, Part B. states:
Ballots shall be distributed to the voting membership by the Nominating Committee at least 30 days prior to the Chapter’s Annual Meeting and shall be received by the Nominating Committee Chair by the date previously announced for counting ballots. Candidates shall be declared elected upon receiving a majority of the votes cast. Where there are more than two candidates, a plurality shall elect.
Unfortunately, the ballot for elections were released today; we will not be able to announce our Chair-Elect and Nominee to the MLA Nominating Committee at the Annual Conference this year. We will announce the results of the elections after the 30-day election period to give our members time to vote. If you are a MAC member and receive the ballot, please cast your vote! If you have not received your ballot, please contact me and I will investigate.
