MLA ’22 Wants to Hear from You!
Hi Everyone,
As a member of the MLA National Program Committee for MLA ‘ 22, I want to invite you to submit a proposal for MLA ’22. Hearing from new and diverse voices will enhance the conference experience and benefit our profession. Presenting at MLA ‘22 is a good career step because you gain experience, demonstrate professional growth and dedication, and enhance connections to your colleagues. We are here to support you during this process. I can help review your proposal or get answers to questions you might have. Or, you can log on to MLANET.org caucuses to find colleagues to collaborate or brainstorm with. There’s also an FAQ page you should check out.
Here is some general information to keep in mind: The deadline to submit a proposal is October 13.
Research abstract papers report on designing, conducting, and analyzing a research project.
Program description abstract papers describe the creation, improvement, and assessment of products, programs, technologies, administrative practices, or services conducted by librarians and information professionals.
Paper presenters have the chance to indicate their preference for presenting in-person or virtually.
Immersion Sessions are a “deep dive” into a single topic. The format may be a panel presentation, group discussion, or other appropriate format, but with an expectation of high audience engagement.
Visit Submitter Login Page – Call for Submissions – MLA ’22 Annual Conference (abstractscorecard.com) when you’re ready to submit.
People participating in MLA ‘22 Immersion Sessions need to attend the meeting in person.
Remember that everyone who’s ever presented at an MLA meeting has had a “first” time submitting a proposal. We’re here to support you if you need it– and we’re excited to hear from you!
