Virginia (Ginger) Carden retired on August 11, 2021
Virginia (Ginger) Carden retired after 35 years at the Medical Center Library & Archives, Duke University.
Ginger earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s of Library Science degree from the University of Illinois. She began her professional career as a Reference Librarian and during her tenure at Duke, she has been promoted to Head of Circulation, Interlibrary Loan Manager, Public Services Librarian, and Administrative Research Librarian. She has been highly valued by her colleagues for her expertise in finding hard-to-find information and for having an open heart and mind in everything she did in her library career.
During retirement, Ginger is planning to visit family and friends, travel through England, and be active in MLA and MAC.
