MLA Hospital Libraries Section – Need Information for Accreditation Standards

The Hospital Libraries Section is working to develop fact sheets librarians can use to promote library services that align with accrediting requirements.  When a reference is made to education, information, research, evidence, evidence-based, reference, etc. we want to have a tie in to how librarians can assist in ensuring the standard is met. The fact sheets would be available to all MLA members on the public section of the HLS website on MLAnet.

In order to complete this project we need text from the accrediting documents that refer to the points listed above.  If you have access to this information we need your help.

If your hospital and/or ambulatory clinics is accredited by one of the following and you can access the standards to send the specific text, please contact Julia M. Esparza.  It should take no more than 30 minutes of your time if the standards are electronic and can be keyword searched. If you have access to other accrediting standards that cover other areas please let us know and we will investigate creating a fact sheet.
