Federer is a data science and open science librarian at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She is the author of several peer-reviewed articles and the editor of the forthcoming Medical Library Association Guide to Data Management for Librarians. She holds a master’s of library and information science and is a doctoral student at the University of Maryland.
LaValley is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Family Medicine, University at Buffalo Primary Care Research Institute. She has authored or coauthored a number of qualitative studies on caregiver social support and caregiver health information–seeking behaviors.
