Most successful MAC scholarship raffle ever?
Greetings MAC,
On behalf of the Membership & Recruitment Committee I would like to thank all of you who participated in the scholarship raffle at the Annual Meeting in Alexandria last week. We raised $530 this year (a record, I think) to support scholarships for library students and new health sciences librarians — thanks to our generous gift donors, ticket sellers, and all of you who enthusiastically participated.
In particular, I would like to express gratitude those who donated gifts: Melissa Ratajeski, David Nolfi, Linda Hartman, M.J. Tooey, Thompkins McCaw Library at VCU, McGraw Hill, Oglebay Resort and Conference Center, the 2014 and 2015 MAC Annual Meeting Planning Committees, and the Services Librarians at the University of Maryland.
I am also indebted to our amazing “sales team” at the meeting: Susan Walko, Anna Crawford, Andrea Shipper, Stefanie Warlick, Ryan Harris, Mellanye Lackey and the Asheville planning team, Sheila Snow-Croft, and Leila Ledbetter.
