Senior Acquisitions Librarian, Collection Development and Acquisitions Section, Technical Services Division, Library Operations, National Library of Medicine (NLM)
As Senior Acquisitions Librarian, you will support the acquisition activities for building the National Library of Medicine collection by providing expert knowledge of government procurement mechanisms for literature and assisting with management of literature payment functions. This position will work closely with the NLM Office of Acquisitions and library personnel to determine the best acquisition methods for purchasing library literature and to develop, document, implement and monitor adherence to policies and procedures for acquisitions processes, including the funding of contracts, purchase orders, and interagency agreements. This position also serves as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for library literature contracts and is responsible for managing various reports and ledgers related to the library’s literature budget.
