Nominate Your Colleague for Consumer Health Librarian of the Year!
The Consumer and Patient Health Information Section of the Medical Library Association is pleased to announce an award to recognize an outstanding consumer health librarian. The Consumer Health Librarian of the Year Award is an award that recognizes a member of CAPHIS who exemplifies the best in consumer health librarianship.
The candidate can be nominated by any other member of CAPHIS. Deadline for applications is April 1st, and the award will be announced at the MLA annual meeting. The librarian selected by the CAPHIS Board of Directors will receive a $500 cash award and a plaque.
Think of a librarian who demonstrates excellent communication and search skills, acts as a role model to peers in consumer health librarianship and works to mentor new librarians to the field, contributes to the knowledge base of consumer health librarianship, leads by example, is an innovator within the work environment and is a lifelong learner, see attachment for the nomination form and send your nominations to janaliebermann@gmail.com
