Nominations Needed! 2018 MAC Award for Professional Excellence by a Health Sciences Librarian

Do you work with someone who is an inspiring MAC member? Recognizing our colleagues is one of the highest honors we can bestow on our peers. The time to nominate your colleague is now!

Each year, The Honors and Awards Committee of MAC, in order to recognize excellence in the profession, honors a MAC member for outstanding contributions to the library profession by awarding the MAC Award for Professional Excellence by a Health Sciences Librarian. This is the highest honor given by MAC. Nominees must be MAC members who have five or more years of health sciences librarianship experience and have more than five years of library experience in general. Solo librarians are also encouraged to apply. Anyone may nominate themselves for this award with a supporting letter from a colleague or supervisor. A plaque and a cash award of $250.00 will be awarded to the recipient.

Criteria used to determine the recipients of the award include, but are not limited to:

  • leadership in the profession
